Data and artificial intelligence: perspectives for tourism - Advanced Tourism Studies Center – University of Bologna in collaboration with: Clust-ER Tourism, Rimini Technopole

TIGLIO 1

How can tourism benefit from the increasing availability of data and the latest artificial intelligence tools? The event, organized by the Center for Advanced Studies in Tourism at the University of Bologna in collaboration with the Cluster-ER Tourism and the Tecnopolo of Rimini, offers a reflection on how emerging technologies can support businesses and destinations in understanding tourist behaviors, personalizing services, optimizing decisions, and strengthening competitiveness. Based on scientific evidence and applications, concrete solutions will be presented. Specific attention will be given to the current limitations posed by data availability and quality, and to the potential for integration between AI and traditional tools (and skills). The aim is to promote a dialogue between research, institutions, and industry operators, encouraging an ethical, conscious, and human-value-oriented use of digital innovation in tourism.
