Governing the transition towards quality tourism: the existence of territories between sustainability, culture and European cohesion. Presentation of the XXVII Report on Italian Tourism

Italian tourism is called upon to face a phase of profound transformation, in which sustainability, the enhancement of cultural heritage, territorial cohesion and the new opportunities offered by European programming represent the fundamental guidelines for building more resilient, inclusive and competitive development models.
The panel, through the presentation of the Rapporto sul Turismo Italiano, will offer an interdisciplinary reading of the main dynamics currently affecting the sector, bringing scientific research, public policies and development strategies into dialogue. The authors of the Report will present data, evidence and proposals to interpret the transitions underway and to accompany administrations, businesses and territories towards a form of tourism capable of generating economic, social and cultural value.
The meeting aims to promote a reflection on the role of tourism as a lever for sustainable development, placing people, communities and territories at the centre, in the awareness that the competitiveness of the Italian tourism system depends increasingly on the ability to integrate innovation, heritage protection and strategic vision within the framework of European policies.
