Industrial tourism in our country represents a relatively recent phenomenon. In fact, it was only since the 1990s that the recovery and enhancement of abandoned industrial sites began: structures converted to tell the story of entrepreneurial dynasties and thousands of workers who contributed to national economic development. In this session, Legambiente explains how this sector is evolving, what the prospects are, and which tourist targets to address.
During the session, the "Tourist Guide to Wind Farms" is also presented, which are essentially active industrial structures that can be transformed into a new proposal for travelers interested in discovering new aspects of the Italian territory.
