Pawprint Economy: why tourism must rethink pet-friendly hospitality

TTG Next Start Up Arena

Pet tourism is no longer a niche or a 'charming' add-on service for accommodation facilities. In Italy, pet tourism has an estimated potential of over 15.8 billion euros, while Amadeus lists the 'Pawprint Economy' among the trends redefining the way people travel. Within this context, the real leap forward for hotels and destinations lies in designing a hospitality experience capable of meeting this travel demand: by building dedicated services, expertise and a network of accessible experiences across the territory. Training, technology and collaboration among operators become essential tools for transforming pet hospitality from an ancillary service into a strategic lever for Destination Management. Two startups share their vision on how to rethink pet-friendly travel, so that every member of the family can truly be part of the journey.
