The Venetian Villas Day: A Best Practice for Experiential Tourism

The Associazione per le Ville Venete - APS, together with the Istituto Regionale Ville Venete (IRVV) and the Veneto Region, is successfully promoting the heritage of Venetian Villas (over 4,300 cataloged) through the Giornata delle Ville Venete. This cultural tourism event has attracted over 50,000 visitors in three years and represents a best practice in experiential tourism, with more than 100 participating Villas across Veneto and Friuli offering over 180 immersive thematic experiences, creating an unforgettable opportunity for participants. It's not just about rediscovering the heritage, but experiencing it authentically from accommodation to wine and oil tastings (local productions), through storytelling and walks in historic gardens admiring the foliage, to guided tours with the owner, thus discovering the beauty of our territory in a sustainable and undertourism perspective.
