The dual challenge of the beach sector: balancing safety and the future of beaches, tenders and compensations

The Italian beach sector is currently at the center of a complex challenge, suspended between European regulatory pressures, the need to protect economic operators, and the reorganization of concessions and the lifeguard system. The conference aims to analyze some crucial and interconnected issues: the initiation of public tender procedures for concession allocation; the definition of criteria and tools for investment compensation; the need to combine the maintenance of public safety and maintenance services previously entrusted to private entities. The meeting will offer interpretations and possible scenarios to manage the transition towards a balanced system, capable of combining competition, sustainability, and social justice.
