The journey towards a new existence between the well-being of body and soul

The panel is not only aimed at presenting the volume 'La geografia del benessere' but above all seeks to explore the new scenarios dictated by wellness tourism expressed in its many diverse forms. Throughout one's existence, a person comes to realise that travel holds a dual value: that of finding one's own 'elsewhere', but above all that of rediscovering oneself away from the routine and stress of everyday life. For this reason, the panel will be dedicated to exploring how the perfect destination is the one in which the traveller rediscovers, first and foremost, their own soul and inner self through a highly complex process of regeneration — one that begins with ascesis and leads back to connection with local residents and with others. This same process takes place through food and all forms of physical activity, by means of which one rebuilds oneself in order to face new journeys.
