Event
The SRM Observatory on Tourism was established with the aim of analysing the role of tourism enterprises and their contribution to the economic and employment growth of territories. From the outset, attention has focused on the need to go beyond a purely quantitative reading of flows, in order to assess the value that tourist presences are capable of generating within local systems. In this perspective, skills, digital innovation and Artificial Intelligence are gaining increasing importance, becoming ever more central to the competitiveness of businesses and destinations. From this journey emerges the annual Report 'Turismo, Imprese & Territorio', now in its fourth edition in 2026, which interprets tourism as a true constellation of value, in which enterprises, investments, human capital, technologies, supply chains and governance all contribute to territorial development. The Observatory also benefits from a broad and growing network of scientific, institutional and entrepreneurial collaborations, which includes Associazione Italiana Turismo Enogastronomico, Federalberghi, Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, Istat, Research Department di Intesa Sanpaolo, Università degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro and Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II.
