Luca Staglianò

Luca Staglianò is General Manager, Merchant Services, American Express Italy. Luca joined the American Express team in 2013 as Head of Global Credit Administration Italy & Nordics, serving as Branch Governance Officer for Credit, Corporate Credit, Fraud & Auth. Subsequently, his role expanded to include responsibility for Credit Operations in France, Germany, and the Netherlands. In 2016, he assumed the position of Head of Acquisition for merchant acquiring activities in Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS), before being promoted to VP & General Manager in 2024. Throughout his professional journey, Luca has accumulated extensive work experience across various functional areas in the banking and financial services sector, with a particular focus on the Credit Card and Digital Payments industry. These include: Citigroup, BBVA as Head of Operations, Barclays in the role of Head of Customer Contact Service in Dublin and later as Cards Country Head. Luca Staglianò holds a degree in Law from La Sapienza University in Rome.
