Biography

I am Martina Zorzi, born in Treviso, and for fourteen years I have been running Villa Imperina, the family property in Agordo, in the heart of the Dolomites. After living and studying in Rome, in a field completely different from hospitality, I returned to Agordino to support my mother in managing the hotel. What was meant to be a temporary experience turned into a life choice. Over these years, Villa Imperina has become not only a family project, but also my first great personal project, which has grown alongside me. I am deeply connected to history, traditions and the local area, but I believe that preserving a tradition also means knowing how to reinterpret it and look to the future. My idea of hospitality stems precisely from the meeting between roots and contemporaneity, between memory and innovation, with the aim of offering not just a stay, but an authentic experience deeply tied to the place. I believe in the Agordino area and its potential, while being aware of the difficulties and challenges that characterise it. For this very reason I consider it fundamental to collaborate, exchange ideas and build a shared vision. My commitment goes beyond Villa Imperina: I am a member of the Board of Directors of Federalberghi Belluno, where I contribute to the dialogue between industry operators and to the promotion of hospitality and the Belluno area. I deeply love this work because I believe in the value of welcoming guests, of relationships and of care. Today I continue to look to the future with confidence and pragmatism, with the desire to grow Villa Imperina and, in my own small way, contribute to the growth of the local area, preserving what we have received and having the courage to build what does not yet exist.
