Simona Tedesco

Biography

She specializes in launching new projects and has done so multiple times throughout her career, moving from print to web to radio. She debuted in 1989 collaborating with Indro Montanelli's newspaper; Luca Grandori called her for the launch of Dove. In '93, she joined the Gulliver team, which she left as deputy director in '97 for the deputy directorship of Capital with Mario Fortini at RCS. In '99, she joined Mondadori to design a new men's magazine; in 2000, she became director of Mondadori.com, where she designed and launched the magazine websites. In 2002, she returned to print as deputy director of Donna Moderna. In 2005, she was in the start-up of R101, where she coordinated the news editorial line and designed programs. In 2006, she returned to RCS as co-director to rethink the weekly "Anna (A)", which she co-directed for three years. Since 2010, she has been the director of Leiweb.it and led the digital relaunch: Iodonna.it (2012) and the community channel Leifoodie.it (2013). In 2011, she also took on the direction of Astra. After integrating Leiweb and Leifoodie into Oggi.it, from February 2014, she became Editorial Director of Multimedia Projects at RCS and Editor-in-Chief of UOR, with a mandate on new multimedia initiatives. Since January 2015, she has led the Dove multimedia system (monthly magazine and Dove.it, Corriere.it's travel channel); since March 2016, she has also directed the publications and websites of the Sfera-RCS group, which she left in 2017 after the relaunch. Today, she continues to direct DOVE and RCS Multimedia Editorial Projects. She sits on the Advisory Boards of Start Up Italia and BTO. Awards: 2016 Biagio Agnes Award (Tourism and Culture); 2018 Guidarello Award for Travel Journalism; 2023 Città di Castelsardo Award for Travel Journalism. Teaching: Master in Management of Cultural and Artistic Heritage; scientific director of the Tourism & Luxury Travel Management Master at RCS Academy; lectures as a special guest at Bocconi University in Milan, Cattolica University in Brescia, and the University of Padua.
