Alessandro Di Benedetto

Alessandro Di Benedetto is the founder of Amalfi Coast Hikes and a professional hiking and tour guide with nine years of experience. Born and raised on the Amalfi Coast, between Amalfi and Atrani, he combines an in-depth knowledge of the local landscape with a strong passion for its history, culture and traditions. Through Amalfi Coast Hikes, he creates and leads private, tailor-made experiences for international travellers, ranging from scenic hikes along iconic trails to cultural walks through historic villages and lesser-known places. His approach focuses on authenticity, personal connection, inclusivity and responsible tourism, offering visitors the opportunity to discover the Amalfi Coast through the eyes of a local. LGBTQ+ tourism is one of his main areas of interest. Alessandro develops inclusive experiences and tours exploring the queer history and cultural heritage of destinations such as Capri, Positano and Ravello. He is also actively involved in building an LGBTQ+ hiking community in Campania, creating opportunities for queer people to connect through nature and outdoor activities. He works with individual travellers, travel advisors, tour operators, hotels and destination management companies, providing personalised experiences for couples, families and small private groups.
