Fiorello Primi

Fiorello Primi born in Castiglione del Lago (PG) on May 16, 1950, married to Antonella since 1975. Two children, Alice and Nicolò, and two grandchildren Emma and Giulio. He worked at IBM Italia and at several banks as an IT specialist. From 1990 to 1993 Deputy Mayor and from 1993 to 2004 Mayor of Castiglione del Lago in the province of Perugia (Umbria). From 2004 to 2009 provincial councillor in Perugia. He contributed to the creation of the international CITTA' SLOW network and was a member of the board of Living Lakes International until 2004. Among the founders, within ANCI, of the association I Borghi Più Belli d'Italia, of which he is still President today. He was part of the Borghi Committee established by MIBACT in 2017 on the occasion of the Year of Borghi Tourism and, in 2021, for the PNRR Borghi. He was founder and President of the international federation Les Plus Beaux Villages de la Terre, which includes 12 associations from around the world, 7 of which are European (Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Bosnia Herzegovina, Switzerland), and currently holds the position of Vice President. Member of the Executive Committee of the Confederation of Italians in the World (CIM). As a hobby, he plays drums in a rock cover band of Creedence Clearwater Revival. President of the association I Borghi più belli d'Italia since its founding in 2002.
