Biography
Mirko Lalli is an entrepreneur and keynote speaker. For twenty years he has been working at the intersection of technology, data, tourism, and artificial intelligence.
He founded and led The Data Appeal Company, a data intelligence platform for tourism born as Travel Appeal and grown to become an international group: it acquired the Spanish company Mabrian. From that experience he brings to the classroom and the stage the craft of someone who has raised capital, built teams, and sold data to destinations, hotel chains, and institutions.
Today he is co-founder and vice president of Turismi.ai, the association that promotes GatewAI, the national conference on artificial intelligence in tourism. He has invested in several startups, including RankWit, which measures and improves the visibility of hotels and destinations in AI assistant responses. He created TourismIntel.ai, an intelligence service on the travel sector that combines news, official data, and weekly analyses, and hosts the podcast "Il Futuro del Turismo".
He is an Independent Expert of the European Commission on artificial intelligence and digital innovation, following a past in public administration that gave him a concrete understanding of how institutions and governance work.
He speaks as a keynote speaker at Phocuswright, ITB Berlin, Web Summit, Skift, and FITUR, and teaches at Italian and international universities.
