Born on October 10, 1972, in Medesano (PR), he is CEO of Azienda Agricola Bertinelli, active since 1895 on the hills of Parma in the production of Parmigiano Reggiano PDO. He holds degrees in Agricultural Sciences and in Economics and Business from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, and obtained an MBA from the University of Guelph, in Canada. First elected President of the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium in April 2017, he was confirmed for a third consecutive term in April 2025.
