Piera Buonincontri

Graduated in Business Administration, she holds a PhD in Marketing and Communication. Since 2021, she has been the coordinator of the 'Tourism Economics and Management' research line at CNR-ISMed. From 2024, she is an adjunct professor at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples. Her main scientific interests include experiential marketing and co-creation processes with customers, sustainable tourism, new technologies for tourism and cultural heritage. She has been and is the scientific supervisor of projects on innovation in tourism marketing. Her research is presented at national and international scientific conferences and published in top-tier journals such as Tourism Management, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Journal of Destination Marketing and Management, Journal of Hospitality Marketing and Management. Since 2021, she has been co-editor of the Tourism Studies on the Mediterranean Region series, published by McGraw-Hill.
