Biography

Roberto Corbelli He sees the world where others see only the beach. Artistic director and cultural strategist with over thirty years of experience in building aesthetic identities, designing creative platforms and transforming territories through fashion, design, art and urban vision. He has collaborated with MAECI, ITA–ICE, the Ministry of Economic Development, universities and global trade fairs in more than twenty countries, bringing Italian culture into international contexts and developing projects that intertwine innovation and territorial storytelling. In 1991 he founded RMI – Ricerca Moda Innovazione, involving figures such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood, Elio Fiorucci, Alberta Ferretti and Max Mara, transforming the project into a national platform supported by MAECI, ITA, Fiera Milano and CNA Federmoda. The creative materials produced in Riccione are still used in the Italia e Moda project. From 2016 to 2024 he directed Breakfast Made in Italy, an international cultural initiative with editions in Dubai, Doha and Tunis, which became a point of reference at TTG SIA GUEST in Rimini. From 2020 to 2025 he led the transformation of Centergross Bologna, building a strategic project that brought the district to be recognised by Italian and European institutions as a significant cultural and commercial platform, also thanks to the institutional conferences he conceived. In 2024 and 2025 he served as artistic director of the Bologna Fashion Festival, transforming the city into a widespread cultural ecosystem. He has curated international projects in China, Japan, Peru, Mozambique, Georgia, Barbados, Canada, Saudi Arabia and Nigeria, developing formats that integrate contemporary aesthetics and territorial innovation.
