Daniela Santanchè

She is an Italian entrepreneur and politician. In 1998, she founded the non-profit association "Solidarietà 2000", which deals with artistic, cultural and work activities of San Vittore and children, of which she was President. She began her political activity during the Albertini administration as a consultant to Councilor Serena Marazzin for fashion and major events in the Municipality of Milan. She was elected Provincial Councilor in June 1999 for the Province of Milan, where she was President of the Culture Commission and the Fashion Council. In June 2001, she became a Member of Parliament for Alleanza Nazionale in the Lombardia 3 constituency and the following month became a member of the V Permanent Commission, Budget, Treasury and Programming, of which she was subsequently appointed Vice President in January. From January 2003 to June 2004, she was City Councilor with delegation for culture, sports and major events in Ragalna, in the province of Catania. At the end of 2004, she was appointed member of the Economic-Social Council for government policies and Head of the Department for Equal Opportunities of AN. The following year, she became the first Italian woman to be appointed rapporteur for the Budget Law and chaired the Public Expenditure Control Committee in the Budget Commission. In 2006, re-elected to Parliament, but in opposition, she continued to be a member of the Budget Commission. In November 2007, during the programmatic assembly of the Right, she announced her move to the new political party, of which she was appointed National Spokesperson and was the first woman candidate for Prime Minister in the elections. In 2010, she was appointed Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council with responsibility for implementing the government program during the fourth executive led by Berlusconi. Re-elected to Parliament in 2013, she was a member of: the IV Finance Commission (May 2013-July 2014), the XIV European Union Policies Commission (July 2014-November 2015), the XI Public and Private Labor Commission (November 2015 - March 2018)
